Last Thursday, when flying home to Dallas, TX, I met an interesting individual on the plane and we began to discuss music.  He turned me on to a great piano player from the past by the name of Art Tatum.  I promised that I would look up Art Tatum once I returned home.  After briefly listening to a couple of Art’s tracks, I have fallin’ in love.  Art was a very influential Jazz pianist and paved the way for artists such as Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder.  Interestingly enough, Art Tatum was a blind pianist as well.  This is a great listen for a Monday.  Enjoy!

Well…it is Wednesday and I leave for my family reunion in Dallas, Texas tomorrow.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks and have determined that I desperately need to see my family.  It is important to remember where you came from and why you are…the way you are. Everyday I solve one more riddle to the mysteries of “why I am…the way I am”.  At any rate…enjoy the Artist of the day.  Listening to the Alkaline Trio brings back many memories of my past, especially high school when I was a rebellious teen that hated girls….lol….good times.  Rock on ya’ll and be ready for pics and video from my trip back to the mother land, TEXAS!
