Another Reno evening of good fishin’
by Seth on Jun.11, 2009, under Movie Reviews
Spring time is here and of course fishing is awesome. I recently moved downtown, and now have the luxury of walking to my favorite fishing holes on the Truckee River. The fishing has been steady but this last week, I have been catching nothing but the planters. I’m not a picky fisherman, as I enjoy just getting out in the open air. Yesterday I decided to try out my true skills and use strictly a spinner, and as always, I came through in the clutch! I was on the river for about a hour and pulled out 10 beautiful little Brook-Rainbow Trout Hybrids(ranging from 8″ to 12″). Again, none of the catches were spectacular but nothing is better than catching fish with a spinner. The fast paced retrieval and the art of presentation makes for a glorious adventure. Enjoy the photos!

Reno Adds Baseball Stadium to Downtown!
by Seth on Apr.21, 2009, under Movie Reviews
Well….All I can say is WOW! Last night I went to my first Reno Aces baseball game and had a blast! It was my first look at the inside of the stadium and I must give it up…the stadium is absolutely beautiful. Also, the Stadium adds some more character and flair to the evolving scenery of Downtown Reno. In a month from now, I will be relocating to a NEW Condo located in the heart of Downtown Reno and I am all the more STOKED that I can ride my bike to the NEW baseball stadium (Home od the RENO ACES), Pay a mere 10 bucks for stellar seats and make a great summer evening out of Americas favorite pass time…BASEBALL! Check out this awesome arial photo of Reno’s new stadium.

First Day of Spring Fishing on the Truckee!
by Seth on Mar.25, 2009, under Movie Reviews
Last Friday I had the opportunity to get out of the office early and head down to one of my Honey Holes where I do a lot of my fishing in the Spring Time. I wasn’t sure if any of the fish would be biting because it was one of the first weeks this year of consistent temperatures in the High 60’s , Low 70’s but I had the itch to get my line in the water. After about an hour of fishing, I found myself still fish less but FINALLY I locked on to a beautiful spawning Rainbow Trout. Although the trout wasn’t that big in length she was fairly thick and well portioned. Unfortunately this was the only fish I landed on Friday but it was definitely great to be back out on the Truckee River. Due to the lack of activity, Spring has not truly arrived but it is definitely on the Horizon! Hope you enjoy the picture.

This is a Classic South Park skit that I enjoyed during my College Days! My dear friend David Stewart and I would watch this skit over and over again in tears of laughter. The best part about this skit is the word “Tree Fitty”…It reminds me of my Grand Parents!!! I love them…They crack me up.
Obama..Officially in the House!
by Seth on Jan.20, 2009, under Misc., Movie Reviews
Today was one of the moments in my life that I will never forget. In fact, this is a moment that I will recite to my grandchildren. Barack Obama was sworn into the White House and the Nation today as the First Black President of the United States of America. As I have discussed many times with my father, I truly never thought that I would see this day in my lifetime or even have the luck to share this moment with my father. I think that it is important to remember that though it is great to see the First Black President of America, this event represents a lot more. This specific event will manifest motivation and opportunity to all who is considered a minority in this country. Now I’m no prolific speaker but simply, Obama has achieved a dream that was seen as impossible and if that isn’t motivation to the minorities of America…what the heck is. Congrats to the Obama Campaign and Family. Now, Lets see how the next 4 years play out.
