Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful places on the West, Quincy, CA. My guide was good friend and Quincy native, Mike (a.k.a. Drunk Mike). Mike showed me his old stompin’ grounds and favorite fishing hole for Crawfish. We had a blast. Enjoy the video. Special thanks to Mike for a great tour of his native land!

In the studio with Jeremy Smith
by Seth on Jul.07, 2010, under MUSIC!!!!
Yo Yo! Over last month I’ve been submerging myself back into hobbies of my past. Music has always been my true love but not until a major turn in events, over the past month, did I decide to dive back into to creating music. Music helps me thorough hard times especially relationship turbulence. Whether I’m just listening to albums or creating albums, music has always helped me heal my soul. You see, most artists & musicians share a common obstacle, they all seem to have problems when choosing there passion (music, painting, performing, filming, etc…)over their significant other. Sound familiar? If not…take time and listen.
This is common problem for not just mucisians but anybody who has a clear defined goal or passion driving them. Passion tends to consume your mind but with pure clarity and focus. With passion comes beauty but those closest to you will suffer from your lack of attentiveness towards them. This lesson I learned, as of late. Don’t be afraid to let your passion take over. Let it take you and drive you, just don’t lose sight of the people who truly love and admire you. With that being said…Good luck with chasing your dreams and passions!!!
Today’s video is a first time look at my time in the studio with good friend Jeremy Smith. My musical background is primarily Percussion but I’ve yearned to learn how to sample, produce and engineer music. Jeremy has been gracious enough to let me come into his world (a couple days a week) and create music with him. This has been quite an enjoyable experience. I am FAR from pro but I am beginning to get a handle on it. Jeremy and I share a love for the 70’s Disco-Funk era. You will find that we had some funk chopping up some George Duke and Earth, Wind & Fire tracks. Enjoy!
