Travel Photos: Palo Cedro / Lake Shasta

by Seth on Mar.29, 2010, under Travel

Last weekend, I ventured to Palo Cedro, CA to spend the weekend with my “Outdoor Adventure” buddies Alden and Ryan.  The weekend was filled with great food, beverages and of course…outdoor sporting.  The fishing was a bit slower than we had hoped but we had a great time.  The photo album should do a great job of telling our tale. Enjoy the photos!

Special thanks to the Weishahn’s for the  A+ hospitality.  It was not expected but greatly appreciated.

"Saves the Day" Live @ The Knitting Factory

by Seth on Mar.18, 2010, under MUSIC!!!!

Finally after waiting patiently for more than 7 years, Saves The Day made their return back to Reno, NV which I assume will be, one of the last visits.  It was great to see my ALL TIME favorite band live once again.  I was pleasantly surprised that they played all the classics.  Most of their set was built around the album “Through Being Cool” which of course for me, was my favorite album; this album never left my CD deck in my Chevy S-10 back in High School.

Though it was great to see them live again, only ONE original member remains in the band, front-man Chris Conley.  This was a sad site to see.  There is something special to be said about the bands that stand the test of time and endure personal conflicts within the group; Saves the Day will not be one of them. Since the early 2000’s, Saves the Day has had trouble keeping all band members interested & motivated but never did I think I would see ONE original member standing on stage with a bunch of “Fresh Faced” dudes….How the times have changed..WOW.

Either way they still rocked the show and it was great to relive all of my Saves the Day moments in REAL TIME!!! Enjoy the Vid.
